Greg Nowell joined AR Spruce with the initial assignment of leading two major builds for client PGW: fit-out of 200k sf of office/R&D space for their new North Philadelphia campus, and a fueling station for the campus.

Greg comes to this task with over 30 years of background in all aspects of program, project, and construction management, including handling scopes from program planning for entire school districts to emergency repairs on multiple schools in tight construction durations. He has a deep background in school planning and construction, along with extensive work in healthcare, government, and corporate projects.

Greg is proficient in the wide array of tools and skills required to effectively manage construction projects, including initiating budgets and schedules and then maintaining them, estimating, constructability reviews, phasing, value engineering, team assembly and contracts.

At Heery International, Greg worked with the School District of Philadelphia to complete a troubled project to completion. He led the Ben Franklin High School/Science Leadership Academy renovation project team to bring the project under control and reopen the building.

Greg served as program manager for the New Jersey School Construction Authority for the Phillipsburg and Trenton school districts. During his tenure he and his team completed a long-range facilities plan, planning for a new high school, completion of an $84M early childhood center, a $20M health & safety summer construction program over eight school buildings for the Trenton School District.

Greg worked with a team to relocate a 30ksf lab facility at the National Institute of Health to an off-site commercial building. Greg worked on the coordination of laboratory equipment including interviews with users, input on infrastructure coordination, reviews of planning and layout. Additionally, Greg has experience in owners’ representation for hi-rise tenant fit project. He successfully completed a $2.2M facility fit out for Global Knowledge in NYC. He managed at- risk construction as a tenant project manager at the World Financial Center, Park Avenue Tower and 55 Water Street.

Before joining AR Spruce, Greg worked approximately 15 years each at Heery International and Hill International, along with shorter terms at JMT and ICS.

Greg was attracted to AR Spruce because of his interest in both creating projects that improve lives, and in managing projects in a respectful and equitable manner.
