CB2/Crate & Barrel, Walnut Street Store—Landlord Representative

Modern furniture retailer CB2 signed a lease for a 12,000 SF retail space on one of the most sought-after blocks in Philadelphia’s Center City district. We were brought in as the landlord’s representative to work alongside CB2 and their Chicago-based design and construction team. While representing our landlord client, we worked to align all stakeholder interests to come up with mutually agreeable solutions, laying out a fast-track construction schedule to:

  • Convert interior space into a prime retail asset
  • Conduct structural, mechanical and architectural system upgrades
  • Upgrade all code-required life safety systems to building code standards
  • Construct a custom-fabricated stone façade, complete with storefront glazing along the 60 LF Walnut Street frontage

High-end Retail Fit-out as a Backdrop for Modern Furniture and Decor
The $1.8M project, was completed in 2018, in accordance with tenant design and construction standards and expectations, and to landlord’s satisfaction. The store opened to great fanfare and continues to be a draw for shoppers on the Walnut Street corridor.
